Senna van Dam

Intern, Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics

As a student of Korean Studies at Leiden University, Senna van Dam is focusing on Korean language, culture and pre-modern history. She has been an intern at the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics (NL) since 2021, where she has contributed to the exhibition texts and timeline of ‘KOREA: Gateway to a rich past’. In line with her internship, Senna is now registering the museum’s collection of Chinese ceramics and managing the Instagram account of the Dutch collaboration Asian Ceramics. She is writing her bachelor’s thesis on the role of the moon vase as Korea’s national symbol and planning to start her master’s in Asian Studies at Leiden University in 2023/2024.
