Laura Smeets
Curator, Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics
As curator at the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics (NL), Laura Smeets takes care of its collection of European ceramics (1500-1945). Before, Laura was curator Art Collections at the Royal Collections in The Hague, where she was responsible for the summer openings of Paleis Noordeinde and the Royal Stables. She has worked as a freelance curator and (provenance) researcher and has taught at the University of Amsterdam. In her spare time, Laura is the chair of Foundation SOUK (a Dutch-Arabic festival) and the Association of the Amsterdam Museum.
