Denise A. Campbell

Curator, Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics

Following the completion of her MA in Arts and Culture in Groningen, Denise Campbell started working on exhibition projects at the Groninger Museum (‘The King of Groningen. J.A. Sichterman (1692-1764)’ in 2024, ‘Fragile Goods. A tribute to Minke A. de Visser (1898-1966)’ in 2015) and a plan for an exhibition on Staffordshire sculptures in open-air museum Het Hoogeland in 2014. From 2015 to 2022, Denise has subsequently worked as registrar of Asian ceramics, registrar of European ceramics and as the academic departmental assistant of the Rijksmuseum’s Asian and Fine and Decorative Arts departments. From 2017 to 2019, she has been involved in the international registration project of August the Strong’s 18th-century collection of Asian ceramics in the Porzellansammlung (Dresden). Currently, she is advisor for the Mondriaan Fund and member of the Ikigai-committee, the young professionals’ branch of the Royal Asian Art Society in the Netherlands. She was appointed curator of Asian ceramics at the Princessehof National Museum of Ceramics (NL) in September 2022.
