Small flattened globular jar on footring, rounded shoulder and wide mouthrim. Decorated in underglaze blue with four medallions each with a lotus flower separated by stylised cloud motifs. On the shoulder a diaper pattern and four reserved medallions containing the characters ning (peace), shou (long life), kang (health), and fu (luck). This is an unusual piece; no other examples seem to be mentioned in the literature. It is rather schematically painted with thin lines in greyish-blue, indicating a dating to the early Wanli period.
