Dish of saucer shape and a flared rim, on a foot ring. The base with a seal mark in a double ring. The interior with an overall design of scattered flower sprays around a central peony. The back with three fruit sprays. The channel footring, seen on Shunzhi (1645-1661) and early Kangxi dishes had disappeared by this time. The decoration is recognizably Chinese with scattered flowers over the whole surface of the dish, albeit in a crowded manner that appealed to Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern customers. The Topkapi Saray in Istanbul has 21 dishes with this design. This dish was collected in Indonesia.
